Hill of the Skull

A mysterious portrait by Satriani combined with a guitar-crafted landscape have resulted in the ominous piece Hill of the Skull. A fusion of mediums, this work is arguably the most haunting image in the entire Radiant Collection.
On the work, Satriani states:
"These two fusion pieces ( Ghost on the Hill and Hill of the Skull) started with a foreboding canvas created by the SceneFour team. It made me think of an old poem by Khalil Gibran about the crucifixion. I wrote and recorded a song about it called “Hill of the Skull” for my "Surfing With The Alien" album. The fusion of my acrylic and watercolor pieces with the newly created apocalyptic landscape brings the story to life."
On the work, SceneFour states:
"From watching Satriani create abstract artwork from guitar performance, it was immediately clear that he is a player without limitations. Joe's fingers traveling up the fretboard reminded us of a fast moving wildfire. As a result, his performance often created a fiery landscape that we couldn't ignore...one powerful landscape was used in two of the collection's strongest works, Hill of the Skull and Ghost on the Hill."
